Moroccan telco Maroc Telecom has unveiled its new OTT TV platform, which is available on iOS and Android devices. The new platform uses underlying technology from French OTT specialist Molotov Solutions. The interface will be localized in Arabic, with content available in both live and catch-up formats. The service also includes over 80 live channels. It is backed by the state, which provides a grant to maintain the balance of the budget.
The service offers local, national and regional channels as well as popular international channels. It also includes premium SVOD content, parental controls, and multi-screen access. It offers an unlimited amount of VOD content and a variety of HD television quality channels. As of 2017, MT TV was available in the entire Middle East and North Africa region. In addition to its live programming, subscribers can access online content and watch movies. The company has also added more than 400 movies to the platform.
MT TV is a digital platform aimed at providing a new way to watch television and movies in Morocco. It features multiple channels in one application, including local and national TV channels. The service also offers premium SVOD offers, with subtitles and EPG. It is supported by an app that is available on Android and Apple devices. The platform will be rolled out in the country by the end of June 2020. This will give the operators a head start in offering their customers new content and enhancing their customer experience.
